Kota Kinabalu: Police have identified a drug trafficking syndicate following the arrest of a 31-year-old man along with the seizure of 58.29gm of Syabu worth RM5,829 near a car service centre in Sulaman Sentral, Manggatal, Thursday.City Police Chief ACP Habibi Majinji said at 4.35pm, a team arrested the suspect who was seen walking towards his vehicle hurriedly and opening the back passenger door.
“A search on the vehicle found four packets of Syabu weighing 3.76gm hidden in a bag and another four packets weighing 54.53gm in the storage area.
“As a result of the investigation, police found that the suspect was unemployed and mastermind of the drug distribution syndicate by sending Syabu supplies obtained from distributors in Kg Cenderamata 2, Likas for sale to buyers around Kota Belud and Kota Marudu.
