Kota Kinabalu: Sabah recorded 252 Covid-19 positive cases and one new cluster, Paginatan cluster, in Ranau, on Tuesday.
State Local Government and Housing Minister, Datuk Seri Masidi Manjun, who is also the State’s official Covid-19 spokesperson, said the new cluster recorded 35 cases on Tuesday, bringing it to 47 cases.
Some 394 Covid-19 patients were discharged from hospital, while 605 remained in hospitals and 1,102 at low-risk quarantine and treatment centres (PKRC).
Sixty-three are in Intensive Care Units and 14 are on ventilated assistance.
From the 252 cases, a total of 146 are from close contact screening, 55 from existing and new clusters, 30 from symptomatic screening, two from community screening and 19 from other categories.
A total of 966 beds are available at Covid-19 hospitals, while 5,416 are available at PKRCs. The occupancy rate is at 26.75 per cent.
