Kota Kinabalu: The Local Government and Housing Ministry is aiming to ensure more affordable houses will be built in Sabah. Its Minister Datuk Seri Masidi Manjun (pic) said his focus in the next five years is to assist those whose needs are sometimes overlooked.
“But it is easier said than done as based on my observation, there are many factors involved in providing affordable houses and one of them is the fact that the price of houses here are mostly determined by the price of the land,” he said during question time at the State Assembly.
“Land in the vicinity of Kota Kinabalu for that purpose is scarce and also most of the land given to LPPB have been developed.
