Kota Kinabalu: Two Samaritans came to the rescue of a suspected hit-and-run dog that laid dangerously close to the busy Jalan Tuaran By-pass in Kg Tebobon, here, last Sunday.Contacting local animal welfare groups turned futile when a Daily Express writer went to the site of the incident following tip-off from a concerned motorist.
Two young men showed up in the nick of time to help carry the severely injured canine out of harm’s way.
Full-time Food Panda rider Zul Mohd Zul Isan, 25, and Kg Tebobon resident Ashrin bin Asri, 23, braved the weekend traffic along the accident-prone highway to get the dog, later named “Samaria”, into the writer’s vehicle to transport it for treatment at a Tuaran veterinarian clinic.
