BEAUFORT: Many residents around the town here and nearby villages have voiced disappointment and frustration over the prolonged intermittent water supply problem and hoped the Water Department will resolve it immediately.One of the residents in town, Norhayani Awang, said water is sometimes available but when it runs out, it would take almost a week for the supply to resume.
“Fortunately, we have a water tank. But if there is no water supply for more than five days, then the water in the tank will also run out,” she said.
She said each time the water taps turned dry, she would go to the laundry to wash clothes and had to spend up to RM10 per wash.
