RANAU: Warded patients here will, for the first time ever, be able to enjoy free medical treatment when they are admitted to Ranau Hospital.

The “Program Bantuan Pembiayaan Bil Hospital Bagi Pesakit Dalam”, which will begin on Jan 1, 2021, is the initiative of Deputy Minister II of Home Ministry, Jonathan Yasin.

Under the programme, created especially for people addressed in Ranau, discharged patients will no longer need to pay any bill at the Ranau Hospital counter.

Launching the programme at the Ranau Hospital on Tuesday, Jonathan said he hoped the initiative would give much relief to those who are sick, especially patients who come from rural areas.
