Flouting SOP: Six compounds issued in Tawau

TAWAU: Six individuals were compounded for failing to comply with the Conditional Movement Control Order (CMCO) Standard Operation Procedure (SOP) at a food premise on Monday.

The compounds were given during an Integrated Operation with the Tawau Health Department under Act 324 for not observing physical distance.

Tawau Health Officer, Dr G Navindran, said four premises were also given notice of attendance in court under the Food Hygiene Regulations 2009 for offences under Regulation 8 (1) and Regulation 33 (1) (f) and Regulation 11 (1) (b).

Earlier, he said 11 food and beverage premises in town were inspected in the operation which focused on the enforcement of Act 342 and the Food Hygiene Regulations 2009.
