Firefighters destroy  thousands of caterpillars  invading Weston tree 
 A firefighter is seen preparing to burn the tree to destroy the caterpillars.
WESTON: Fire and Rescue Department here destroyed thousands of caterpillars in a tree near the Maternity and Child Health Clinic.

District Fire and Rescue Chief Mohammad Hasbollah Nenggok said the department received an emergency call at 9.45am and deployed a team of firefighters to the location.

“Upon arrival, we found thousands of caterpillars on the tree and quite a number of it on crawling on a cement wall.

“The team burned the tree and killed every single of the caterpillars,” he said, adding that the caterpillar species are dangerous to humans because they could make the skin itchy and leave scabs all over.
