RANAU: Deputy Minister of Home Affairs II Jonathan Yasin advised all frontline staff to be always taking care of their health and avoid falling victim to the Covid-19 outbreak while carrying out their duties especially in Targeted Enhanced Movement Control Order (Temco) areas.

Jonathan, who is also Member of Parliament for Ranau, said that the frontline staff comprising officers and members of the Royal Malaysian Police, Malaysian Armed Forces, Malaysian Civil Defense Force and the Malaysian Volunteer Department (Rela) are directly involved in carrying out enforcement of Temco in Kg Paginatan and Maringkan must be vigilant with the spread of the epidemic.

“The role of frontline personnel is very important in the time of Temco in these two villages. Therefore, they need to be more careful when on duty and ensure that all Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) are fully complied with,” he said when visiting the Incident Control Centre (PKTK) at Kg Paginatan and Maringkan.

He also hoped that the residents in the two Temco-declared villages to render full cooperation to the authorities.
