Kota Kinabalu: Seven houses including a sundry shop in Kg Tebobon, Manggatal, here, was razed early Monday.
Nobody was reported injured in the 2.27am fire.
A statement issued by the State Fire and Rescue Department stated that 10 firefighters led by Aguastavia Joe Guasi were deployed to the scene following a distress call via MERS 999.
Also at the scene were the Department’s Sabah Assistant Director (Operations) Misran Bisara and Zone 1 Chief, Hamsa Isnurdini.
The team brought the fire under control at about 4.26am, with operations ending at about 8.04.
The cause of fire and estimated loss is still being probed.
