Kota Kinabalu: Kadamaian Assemblyman, Datuk Ewon Benedick, will take legal action against a portal for alleged slander.“I have obtained legal services for the suit against these slanderers, including on Facebook and WhatsApp,” he said.  He said this after lodging a police report at the Karamunsing police station on Monday regarding the portal’s post which described him as being involved in corruption in the awarding of maintenance works for Jalan Kebidahan and associated roads in Kota Belud.  He said the post is malicious and affected his credibility as Kadamaian Assemblyman and former Sabah Rural Development Minister.  “I have asked the police and all related agencies to conduct thorough probe into the matter, including on those who spread such slander,” he said.
