Kota Kinabalu: A pump boat suspected of being used for fish bombing activities was seized by the Malaysian Maritime Enforcement Agency some 0.12 nautical miles west off Tanjung Saban, here, Sunday. The boat was spotted by maritime team on routine patrol in the area, according to Sabah and Labuan MMEA Director, First Admiral Datuk Mohd Rosli Abdullah, in a statement, here, Monday.
The boat started to speed towards shallow waters as the team approached for inspection and two men were seen jumping from the boat into the sea.
Inspections on the boat led to the discovery of traditional diving equipment, a compressor, a roll of diving hose, two bottles of fish bombs and diving glasses, among others.
