Kota Kinabalu: The Sabah Tourism Federation (STF) is confident that the local tourism sector will gradually recover once Covid-19 vaccination is available to the public this year.“Our tourism industry both in peninsula and East Malaysia which are badly affected by the global pandemic is expected to gradually improve once people starts receiving the vaccine,” its President Tonny Chew said.
He said STF forecast such positive development will start to show signs most likely during the 3rd or 4th quarters of this year.
“Our tourism players may start feeling the upward trend earlier depending on how fast the vaccine be made available to the people in Sabah,” he added.
