Sabah Hockey teams set off for the MHL

Kota Kinabalu: Sabah Hockey Association (SHA) has set a modest target for the men and women teams in the upcoming 2021 Malaysia Hockey League competition scheduled to start on January 14 in Bukit Jalil.

President Datuk Seri Anil Jeet Singh said on Tuesday that the men’s team would be making their debut in the annual competition while the women’s team had competed for the first time last year.

“This is the second year for our women team competing in the league. They finished in fifth place last year .Now we have set a third place target for them and I hope they can achieve it.

“As president of Sabah Hockey Association I will try my very best to send our teams to compete in any national competition and this is the first time for our boys to compete in Malaysia Hockey League, and my target for them is  to at least finish in fifth place in this historic outing,” he said.
