Kota Kinabalu: The State Government has set a target to plant 36 million trees over five years statewide in conjunction with the State-level 100 Million Trees Planting Campaign until 2025.

Chief Minister Datuk Seri Hajiji Haji Noor said the State Government always supports the positive effort to ensure the state forest heritage continues to remain, preserved and benefit the state.

The campaign which started this year involved five categories, namely forest plantation, forest restoration, rubber farm development, fruits trees and enrichment planting inside the forest.
“The green forest treasures not only good for health, but also helps in the country’s economic development. This matches Sabah as a state that offers a tourism destination based on flora and fauna.
