Kota Kinabalu: The body of Yusof Sihud was found Tuesday - three days after he was reported missing while swimming with friends at Nexus Beach in Karambunai. The 19-year-old’s remains were retrieved by the Malaysian Maritime Enforcement Agency’s Bot Kilat 39, some two nautical miles off the Nexus coastal area at about 9.40am.
The body was taken to the Sepanggar Maritime Jetty and has since been identified by family members, according to Malaysian Maritime Enforcement Agency (MMEA) Sabah and Labuan Director, First Admiral Datuk Mohd Rosli Abdullah, Tuesday.
The remains were handed over to the police to be taken to the hospital for post mortem.
