Kota Kinabalu: The Chartered Institute of Logistics & Transport Malaysia has lauded the announcement by Deputy Chief Minister cum Works Minister Datuk Seri Bung Moktar Radin plans to introduce a “skytrain” linking Kota Kinabalu International Airport to the city centre and onwards to 1Borneo. “The maiden phase clearly aimed at providing convenience to tourists and visitors is an excellent move in giving the much needed connectivity for visitors to the state capital,” its President Haji Ramli Amir (pic) told Daily Express.
Besides, he said, it would give residents around the airport access to the city via public transport and easing the congestion on roads.
He said going to the airport from the city would be much faster without having to manoeuvre with heavy road traffic.
