MENUMBOK: The State Works Minister Datuk Bung Mokhtar (pic), State Water Department Director, Beaufort Member of Parliament and Kuala Penyu Assemblyman were together urged to resolve the prolonged clean water supply problem faced by over 8,000 people living in Menumbok township.Apart from having to rely on rainwater, those with children have to fork out money daily to buy water bottles so that the children can bathe.
A resident, Awang Ramlee, said the problem is worsening.
He said the affected areas including the township, Kg Mempakul, Kg Darat, Kg laut, Kg Bukit Nuri, Kg Sarap, Kg Peringan, Kg Melikai, Kg Manggis, Kg Jungkon, Kg Sinapokan, Kg Matadan, Kg Siaun, Kg Kepayan Scheme, Kg Batu Linting, Kg Tanjung Aru, Kg Sangkabuk, Kg lambidan and Kg Jagus.
