Kota Kinabalu: Hundreds of visitors were issued compounds by police for blatant disregard of the standard operating procedures (SOPs) at an entertainment outlet in Waterfront, here, Saturday night.

City Police Chief ACP Habibi Majinji said they were aged between late 20s and 30s, adding the 10pm integrated operation was conducted by the Narcotic Crime Investigation Division (BSJN) and the Criminal Investigation Department (JSJ) of Kota Kinabalu Police Headquarters (IPD).

“This entertainment outlet had been raided twice before. This is the third raid and both the visitors and the owner of the outlet were issued compounds.

“The outlet’s audio equipment was also seized,” he told a press conference after the operation. According to Habibi, the outlet was also found to be operating with an expired licence.
