Kuala Lumpur: Former national squash icon Datuk Nicol David is the sole Asian candidate in the contention for The World Games’ Greatest Athlete of All Time.The 37-year-old Penangite, who had an unprecedented nine-year reign as the world’s number one, will now have to compete in the online poll against 23 other candidates representing various sports from all editions of the World Games’ 40-year history (from 1981 to 2017).

The candidates were nominated by their international sports federations.
