Kota Kinabalu: Matunggong sub-district could generate higher economic returns if it is upgraded into a full district status, said its Assemblywoman Datuk Julita Majungki.She said studies to evaluate the feasibility of upgrading Matunggong into a full district would commence in the near future while adding that the findings will be presented to the State Cabinet for approval. She said that Matunggong constituents are all for the sub-district to be upgraded into a full district status, as it would benefit them greatly especially in generating their economy. “The time has come for the Matunggong to be upgraded for the benefit of the 157 villages here.
