Kota Kinabalu: The Malaysian Medical Association (MMA) Sabah branch received RM500,000 from the Sabah United Chinese Chamber of Commerce (SUCCC), Monday, to help with medical needs and particularly the fight against Covid-19.The donation made by SUCCC President Tan Sri Andrew Liew to MMA Sabah Chairman Prof Dr Kew Seih Teck during a ceremony at the Sabah State Administrative Centre (PPNS), witnessed by Chief Minister Datuk Seri Hajiji Noor.
Prof Kew said it is extremely helpful for equipping hospitals with more ventilators.
At the same ceremony, Sabah Finance Ministry Permanent Secretary Rusdin Riman gave a donation of RM13,500 from the Ministry’s Islamic charity to Hajiji for the State Covid-19 Disaster Management Committee (SDMC).
