Two held after LPG seized
TAWAU: Two individuals were detained by the Domestic Trade and Consumer Affairs Ministry (KPDNHEP) on suspicion of distributing liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) at the Customs, Immigration and Quarantine (CIQ) Old Jetty, here, on Jan 5.

District KPDNHEP Enforcement Head, Aslani Dabi, in a statement, here, Saturday, said the team also seized nine LPG worth about RM20,000, a Kelisa and an Iswara.

He said three LPG were found in the Kelisa, while nine were found in the Iswara which was used as a taxi.

He said the modus operandi was to use public transport services such as taxis to operate at the CIQ.
