Hajiji assures continued govt support for Esscom

Kota Kinabalu: The Gabungan Rakyat Sabah (GRS) government will continue to support the Eastern Sabah Security Command (Esscom) in providing information to maintain peace and unity.

Chief Minister Datuk Seri Hajiji Noor extended the assurance during a courtesy call by Esscom delegates led by its Chief Executive Officer Dr Jamaluddin Mohd Ali (pic) o the former at the Sabah Administrative Centre, here, on Monday.

Esscom, in a statement Tuesday, said the Chief Minister stressed that such support should be the main priority of the delivery system to all security agencies, including Esscom.

This is to ensure that the momentum towards creating unity and safety can be maintained, added Hajiji.

“In the meantime, the Chief Minister will always recommend and ensure that all state government agencies provide strong cooperation to the Esscom.

“Such is part of the effort to bring Esscom closer to the local community and create a form of strategic cooperation at the grassroots level,” said Esscom.

Also present during the courtesy call were Esscom Management Service Director Terry Henry and Esscom Public Action Assistant Director Mohd Aziz Marinsah.
