Membakut folks urge govt to repair bridges
The two suspension bridges in Sinduk that need repair.
MEMBAKUT: Villagers are urging the State Government to repair two severely damaged bridges in Sinduk, here, as they pose danger to residents.

Former Sinduk Village Chief Rusi Gurumong said the bridges are used regularly by some 100 villagers.

“There are (people from) 11 households here who use the bridges and this is very worrying, especially school children, as they may accidentally fall into the river,” he told Daily Express.

He said another bridge about a 20-minute walk away is also badly damaged, which is dangerous for users.
