(pic) hopes all estate companies in Sabah will ensure their workers undergo Covid-19 screening regardless of whether they are covered by the Social Security Organisation (Socso).His appeal came in the wake of an increase in the number of positive Covid-19 cases in Sabah Friday with 514, majority of which are attributed to mass health screening carried out in estates.

“More positive cases are expected in the next couple of days as Socso and the Sabah Health Department continue to conduct screening in estates,” said Sabah’s official Covid-19 spokesperson Datuk Seri Masidi Manjun in an online Covid-19 update, Friday.
“The discovery of new clusters in two estates amplifies the need by estate companies to do compulsory screening on all their staff and workers,” he said, adding Sabah registered two new clusters - Ladang Matamba cluster (Lahad Datu) and Ladang Baturong cluster (Kunak) - Friday.
