Kota Kinabalu: The Society for the Sabah Heart Fund (SOSHF) is appealing to the public and corporate organisations to donate to the Society as more funds are needed in its programmes.SOSHF Vice-President Datuk Eva Susau (pic) said the Society has sent 688 patients for corrective heart surgery since 1981 and additional funds are needed to send more patients as the cost is escalating.
She said this after welcoming 10-year-old Evelyn at the Kota Kinabalu International Airport (KKIA), Friday, after a corrective heart surgery in Kuala Lumpur.
Evelyn, she said, was escorted by her mother Floryna Sammy.
“Her mother informed that her condition is getting better each day and she is more cheerful now than before,” she said in a statement, Friday.
