Kota Kinabalu: Tanjong Kapor Assemblyman Chong Chen Bin (pic) is disappointed with the “political interference” in the affairs of Kudat district administration which has resulted in the people having to bear the brunt. He claimed that there were instructions that barred district officers and government officials in the district from participating in flood site visits by non-governmental organisations (NGOs) which were attended by opposition representatives.
“I don’t blame the district administration led by the District Officer and its officers as they only follow the instructions of their superiors.
“However, these politically motivated actions make it difficult for the people to get proper attention and assistance from the opposition, as well as NGOs that only want to help those in need, especially the flood victims,” said the Kudat Warisan Division vice chief in a post on his Facebook, Friday.
