RANAU: The PDRM Ranau issued four compounds to four locals including two women aged between 36 and 68 years old for violating the Movement Control Order (MCO) 2.0 on Thursday.Ranau District Police Chief DSP Sammy bin Newton said the four were compounded for violating the SOP at a business premises in town at approximately 9.30pm.
He said the business premises was found to be operating beyond the stipulated time and allowed customers to drink at the premises, both breaching the SOP.
“The Government has re-enforced the MCO in several states including in Sabah on Jan 13-26 to curb the Covid-19 pandemic. People must strictly follow all the SOPs
“All those involved have been charged a compound of RM1,000 each for having committed an offence under the Regulations Prevention and control of Infectious Diseases (Movement Control) 2021,” he said.
