SANDAKAN: Two Indonesians were reported missing after their fishing boat sank off Kuala Meruap waters, Friday.
Sandakan Maritime Zone Director Capt Zainudin Mohd Zuki said the victims were Andi Manso, 40, and Sindora, 42. The Kota Kinabalu Maritime Rescue Sub-Centre (MRSC) activated the search and rescue (SAR) operation at 7pm, Friday, upon receiving information on the incident.

“Two more victims from the same boat – Adrian @ Agus Bahtiar, 45, and Oyong @ Herman, 35, were rescued by local fishing boat around 6.30am,” he said.
“The boat is believed to have sunk after hitting a big wave during fishing around 4am, Friday.”
