Motorists plying a stretch near Kg Tudan in Penampang were left stranded as an embankment failure was reported along Jalan Kota Kinabalu-Keningau-Tenom with the damage measuring 50 metres long and four metres wide, Sunday.

Lintasan Resource Sdn Bhd reported that the 12.30pm incident involved a depth of two to three metres resulting in the stretch being inaccessible to vehicles – no thanks to the continuous rain.
No injury or vehicle damage were reported along the stretch, while motorists have been advised to take the Jalan Kimanis-Keningau alternative route.
