PAPAR: A total of 44,182 poor and hardcore poor people in Sabah who are listed under e-Kasih category, need to be helped, said Principal Assistant Secretary of State Agriculture and Fisheries Ministry Maria David Edick.
She said they are the target group that the ministry aims to bring them out of the poverty by involving them in poverty eradication programmes under the ministry.

“One of the programmes is Azam (End of Poverty) programme that has been implemented by the ministry since 2011 whereby the participants are selected from the e-Kasih list.
“The participants would be equipped with living skills that they could use to raise their income and improve their livelihood.
