Kuala Lumpur: The Federation of Chinese Associations Malaysia (Huazong) is urging the Government to allow the Chinese community to conduct religious rituals during the coming Chinese New Year (CNY) festivity.Its President Tan Sri T.C Goh
(pic) said the rituals can be conducted with strict adherence to the Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) during the 15-day CNY celebration.

Among the key annual religious rituals include the Bai Tian Gong ritual to pay homage to the supreme Taoist deity, Jade Emperor, and the ritual of receiving the Chai Shen Yeh (God of Fortune).

Meanwhile, Goh welcomed a social media tweet by Federal Territories Minister Tan Sri Annuar Musa on Saturday mentioning that the National Security Council (NSC) has consented a chariot procession in conjunction with Thaipusam.
