BEAUFORT: Swift action by the Fire and Rescue Station to extinguish a fire, believed to have started from the main fuse box, saved the Datuk Seri Panglima Mohd Dun Hall from getting razed.Beaufort Fire and Rescue Station Chief Mohammad Hasbollah Nenggok said the incident occurred at 3.52pm last Wednesday in the briefing room after one of the officers smelled smoke.

“Preliminary investigation showed that the fire was caused by overload due to the use of many electrical items in the room.
“The Fire and Rescue team comprising eight personnel, a Fire Rescue Tender (FRT) vehicle and one Emergency Medical Rescue Services (EMRS) ensured no other fire risks in the area,” he said.
