KPWKM mulls expanding online initiatives: Rina
PUTRAJAYA: The Women, Family and Community Development Ministry (KPWKM) will explore and expand online initiatives this year in a move to provide fast and efficient delivery system to the society.

Its Minister, Datuk Seri Rina Mohd Harun (pic), said she hoped that this year, various online initiatives would continue to be explored, among others in figuring out the best method to inform the delivery of aid notifications to recipients via mobile phones quickly, efficiently and accurately.

She said efforts towards digital transformation needed to be stepped up to ensure the society and the Ministry’s staff could adapt to changes in working under the new norms.

“My advice to all Ministry staff to continue to cultivate a strong work ethic and be able to adapt to the new work norms without affecting the quality of the service delivery,” she said in her annual address via the ministry’s Facebook page Friday.

On the increase in social cases due to the Covid-19 pandemic, especially those involving children, she said, there was a need to increase the number of Protection Officers and Moral Officers in JKM.
