Kota Kinabalu: The threat to Sabah from the notorious Abu Sayyaf (ASG) kidnap-for-ransom group will be a thing of the past once the Bangsamoro Autonomous Region for Mislim Mindanao (BARMM) succeeds in convincing these extremists to pledge allegiance to the Philippine flag. Presently, BARMM is in talks with ASG leaders including the Bangsamoro Islamic Freedom Fighters (BIFF) to convince them to join the government to bring development and level-up the standard of living of the Moro people in Mindanao.
