Project set to turn Papar into thriving satellite township

PAPAR: The integrated Parklane City and Benoni Commercial Centre project is poised to become a thriving satellite township in the south of Kota Kinabalu.The project, spanning across 100 acres of land, is located strategically along the Pan Borneo Highway and developed by the WSG Group.

It consists of Benoni Commercial Centre with 180 units of two- and three-storey shoplots, Servay Hypermarket, Pizza Hut and KFC drive-through restaurant; Benoni Gardens Apartment Tower A (115 units) fully occupied and Tower B under construction.
The development will also feature a shopping mall and hotel, said the WSG Group Managing Director Datuk Susan Wong Siew Guen during the opening of “DY Drive-Thru Car Wash” at the project site.
Also in the project is Phase 1 and 2 of Parklane City with 88 units of two- and three-storey shoplots slated for completion by mid-2022, said Wong, adding that Phase 3 (50 units two-storey shoplots) and Phase 4 (40 units four-storey shoplots) projects will start later.
For the Parklane Villa with 180 units of two-storey terrace house, she said Phase 1 (90 units) of the project was launched last year with 30 per cent sold.

Wong said the Parklane condominium with four 19-storey residential towers (each tower with 164 units) will be launched this September.
“When the whole projects completed later, it will be the largest satellite township and it will spur the economic growth. I am honoured to be able to contribute towards the development of Papar,” said Wong.

She said Papar is always close to her heart because it was the childhood hometown of her mother, Datuk Seri Chen Si Mui.

“During my younger days, my mum would bring me to visit the relatives in Papar.
“That is why I have strong sentimental feelings towards Papar,” said Wong.
