Making your own ashes for Ash Wednesday
The dried leaves are burnt for the ashes. Pictures show a church worker (not seen) during the process of retrieving the ashes from dried palms.
Kota Kinabalu: Catholics who are not able to physically attend the Ash Wednesday service (Feb 17) in churches due to the phase two of the Movement Control Order (MCO 2.0) can rest assured that they can still take part in the live-stream Masses.

However, some faithful are still unsure of how to go about in making the ashes.
