Record 19 new Covid-19 clusters nationwide, 14 at workplaces
PETALING JAYA: The Health Ministry today announced that 19 new Covid-19 clusters were detected today, Malay Mail reported.

Health director-general Tan Sri Dr Noor Hisham Abdullah said that out of the 19 new clusters, 14 were related to workplaces.

“Four other clusters were identified to be community clusters and one more involving a high-risk group,” he said. 

Of the 19 new clusters, five clusters were detected in Sarawak, four clusters each were detected in Selangor and Johor, two in Sabah and one each in Kuala Lumpur, Pahang, Kedah and Perak.

“Among existing clusters, the cluster that registered the highest number of new Covid-19 cases today are the Tapak Bina Damar cluster (201), Tapak Bina Jalan Segambut cluster (173) and Industri Cyber cluster (161),” Dr Noor Hisham said.

He added that nine existing clusters have also come to an end. They are the Jalan Thamby cluster, Tapak Bina Hevea cluster, Jalan Padu cluster, Pasar Jalan Sentosa cluster, Wawasan Gading cluster, Jalan Datuk cluster, Tampoi Jaya cluster, Rantau Cempaka cluster and Keranji Tabuan cluster.
