Kuala Lumpur: Two more economic sectors, tourism and culture, may reopen from tomorrow in states under the conditional movement control order (CMCO), Senior Minister Datuk Seri Ismail Sabri Yaakob said today.

However, he said businesses in these two sectors, such as recreational parks, theme parks and zoos, can only operate at half their capacity and must comply with CMCO standard operating procedures (SOP), Malay Mail reported.

“The following activities, which are allowed to operate at 50 per cent of their premises capacity in compliance with physical distancing, the mandatory wearing of face masks and the relevant CMCO SOPs, are tourist attractions such as zoos, farms, aquariums, edutainment centres, recreational parks, and extreme adventure/nature parks, among others.

“This also includes art, culture and heritage hubs, such as museums, libraries, art galleries, cultural centres/villages and cultural performance stages,” he said during the National Security Council (NSC) press briefing today.
