Umno secretary-general Ahmad Maslan said the AGM would be carried out through a combination of physical and virtual meetings, FMT reported.

“All SOPs under the movement control order (MCO), conditional MCO and recovery MCO will be complied with,” he said in a statement today.

Previously, 145 of the 191 Umno divisions had called for the party to withdraw its cooperation with PPBM. The Umno Supreme Council has said it would finalise decisions on the party’s stance on PPBM at its AGM.

The AGM, which had originally been scheduled to take place late last year, was postponed to Jan 30 and 31 due to the pandemic before being put off again.

A decision at the AGM to withdraw support for PPBM would lead to the collapse of the PN government.
