TAWAU: The General Operations Force (GOF) here nabbed two suspected drug pushers during an Op Benteng Covid raid at a hut in an oil palm plantation in Mile 10 Kalabakan, on Sunday.Police also confiscated a homemade pistol, a modified bullet, an 18cm long knife and a dagger measuring 13cm long.
The GOF Battalion 14 Assistant Commanding Officer, DSP Abd Halim Ahmad, said public tip-off led to the successful 5pm raid.
“The two foreigners, aged 40 and 47, were found inside a hut and further inspections led to the discovery of a black bag believed to belong to one of them,” he said.
He said the bag contained a homemade pistol and a modified bullet as well as 20 transparent packets containing substance believed to be syabu weighing 5.36 grammes.
The drugs are estimated to be worth about RM536 based on the market price.
He said the two, along with the seized items, were brought to the Tawau police headquarters for further investigation and action.
