RANAU: Fate turned for one homeless woman here when her shelter made of tree branches and yam leaves was transformed into a decent house.
Kundasang Assemblyman Datuk Dr Joachim Gunsalam and Ranau MP Jonathan Yasin took the initiative to help Gorimeh Gumat, 62, a widow, by building the house through gotong-royong with the villagers of Kg Lembah Permai, Kundasang.
