Another Warisan rep denies crossover to GRS
Kota Kinabalu:  Another Warisan assemblyman has denied a report that linked him as one of six elected representatives from the party ready to cross over to Gabungan Rakyat Sabah (GRS).

Bongawan rep Daud Yusof (pic) said the claims by the news portal “were just nonsense”.

When contacted, Daud said he would not go back on the trust and mandate given to him by his voters.

“This is despite the challenges faced by the opposition.

“There is no such thing (leaving Warisan). The portal just did it for no reason — I am not here for the money but for the sake of the people.”

He added that he remained loyal to party President Datuk Seri Shafie Apdal and that he was adamant on working for the people under the Warisan banner.

Besides Daud, the portal claimed the other assemblymen, namely Assafal Alian (Tungku), Chong Chen Bin (Tanjong Kapor), Mohammad Mohamarin (Banggi), Norazlinah Arif (Kunak) and Azhar Matussin (Darau), were on the brink of quitting Warisan for GRS.

All of them have denied the report.

The report came in the wake of the departure of Sebatik assemblyman Hassan A Gani Pg Amir on Thursday. He has pledged to support GRS and Prime Minister Muhyiddin Yassin.
