Anwar questions Muhyiddin's silence over King’s statement on Parliament sitting
A day after two PKR MPs pledged support to Prime Minister Muhyiddin Yassin, opposition leader Anwar Ibrahim today questioned his continued silence over the King’s statement that Parliament could convene during the current emergency.

The PKR president said it’s been almost a week since Istana Negara issued the statement by the Yang di-Pertuan Agong, Sultan Abdullah Sultan Ahmad Shah.

“Why isn’t there any statement from the prime minister as a sign to respect the King’s statement.

“Prior to this, the government had been informing the rakyat that the emergency was declared by the King and therefore, it cannot be questioned,” Anwar said in a live video on his Facebook page.
