PAPAR: The Rural Development Ministry (KPBLS) and Kim Teck Cheong (KTC) Consolidated Berhad donated 10,000 packaged buns to the Papar District Office here, Wednesday.Papar District Officer Ghulam Rasul Hapil expressed his gratitude to the donors for their generous contribution and said that the buns will be distributed to frontliners and Community Development Leader Units (UPPM) in the area.
“Thank you very much to the Rural Development Ministry and KTC Consolidated Berhad for this noble initiative and effort,” he said during the handover of donations, here.
Meanwhile, KTC Consolidated Berhad Managing Director Dexter Lau, said the company is pleased to donate, in collaboration with KPLBS, to help frontliners who have been working tirelessly.
“Previously, we have held similar programmess in several other places including helping communities affected by floods and the Movement Control Order (MCO). This is part of our Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR),” he said.
The handover was also assisted by the Better Bets Project led by Sylvia Pius Laban and Sifera Kodoh and Special Tasks Minister Officer Harris J Mintu.
Also present were Assistant District Officer (Development) Awangku Reimi Bin Pangeran Abdul Rahman, Assistant District Officer (Administration), Jainudin Bin Jumat, Kawang Community Development Leader (PPM) Roslie Ibrahim, Limbahau PPM Datuk Johnny Mositun, Pantai Manis PPM Mohd Rosli Ibrahim and District Civil Defense Officer cum Papar District Disaster Management Committee Secretary Lieutenant Razaq Basir.
