Kota Kinabalu: In contrast to Malaysian Association of Tour & Travel Agents (Matta) National President Datuk Tan Kok Liang statement that domestic tourism will be the main driver of Malaysia’s tourism industry in 2021-2023, current operating conditions shows that “Sabah will find it an uphill task”.

This was due to dependency on air connectivity and overall low spending power in the State.
