Kota Kinabalu: Minister in charge of City Hall Datuk Abidin Madingkir
(pic) said he was not aware of any road sign being replaced during his five years as Kota Kinabalu Mayor previously. “This issue was never brought to my attention. Hence, I was not aware of any road sign that was replaced to that effect,” he said, in a statement. He was responding as a group who claimed that the road sign of OKK Lojungah was removed mysteriously had hoped that he would be able to rectify it, being a native himself. Abidin said that after checking with PKM and JKR nobody seems to know the existence of Jalan Lojungah in Kampung Air that was claimed to have been replaced some time back.
“There is no record to be found under DBKK Road Register. I have checked google map and found there is Taman OKK Lojungah in Penampang,” he said, and hoped that those who were unhappy would provide him the relevant information for verification and rectification.
