He was briefed by Raymond on the mill that started its operation in 1999 and the company is a subsidiary of Sabah Economic Development Corporation (Sedco). Dr Joachim said the factory was built because it is strategically located near Brunei Darussalam-Indonesia-Malaysia-Philippines East Asean Growth Area (BIMP-EAGA). Also present were the Industrial Development Assistant Minister Tamin Zainal, POIC Lahad Datu Chairman Datuk Seri Yong Teck Lee and the permanent secretary of Ministry of Industrial Development (MID) Thomas Logijin with other officers.
