Kota Kinabalu: Political will is crucial to help conserve 2.16 million hectares of wetlands in Sabah with proper financial backing. Mangroves constitute the biggest portion of wetlands in Sabah covering some 385,630 hectares.This was stressed at the Sabah Wetlands Conservation Society (SWCS) organised 4th International Symposium on Conservation and Management of Wetlands 2020 on Monday, March 15.
